Basic Information
HV Kids is divided up into two groups:
Happy Hands
Our preschool, Happy Hands, which works with birth – kindergarten.
Our grade school ministry that works with 1st – 6th graders.
Kidzone and Happy Hands meet during both the 9:00am service and the 10:30am service.*
*The only exception is during Combined Worship Services, where Kidzone only meets at 9:00am.  All 1st-6th graders attend the combined service with their families. Happy Hands does not change. Combined Worship Services happen on the fifth Sunday of the months that have 5 Sundays.

Mission Statement

Happy Valley Kids exists to help children from birth through sixth grade glorify God and grow to their full potential in Christ by partnering with and supporting parents in discipling their children.

“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”  -Matthew 19:14
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  -Proverbs 22:6

We will accomplish this by:

  • Giving parents, a child’s primary role model and teacher, the resources they need to instruct their children daily in God’s word and prayer.
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”  -Ephesians 4:11-12
  • Teaching God’s word both accurately, as well as in fun and engaging ways, at their appropriate age level.
  • Through all instruction, resources, and activities emphasize knowing God, not just about Him.
“And the Lord said: ‘Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men”  -Isaiah 29:13
  • Create a safe environment for kids to learn and grow.
  • Consistently communicating with families what their children are learning and accomplishing at church, so the parents can apply what they’ve learned throughout the rest of the week.
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”  -Deuteronomy 6:7
  • Giving children a chance to develop meaningful relationships with peers and adults, who will partner with parents in discipling their children.
“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.”  -Hebrews 10:24-25

The Gospel Project® is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for Kids, Students, and Adults that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, participants will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God.

The Gospel Project Details:

  • Chronological study plan – Genesis thru Revelation
  • Christ-centered study – All scripture gives testimony to Jesus
  • Age alignment – All ages learn same lessons
  • Missional focus to respond to God
  • 99 Essential doctrines of Christian faith identified
SuperBook Academy
We use the SuperBook Academy during the 10:30am service with our 1st-6th graders.
This exciting digital Sunday School curriculum features animated Superbook® Bible adventures, and in-depth lesson plans that will challenge your students with engaging, Christ-centered learning experiences. Each course consists of three lessons based on biblical SuperTruths. Your kids will view original videos, learn biblical background information, learn about gospel connections, enter into prayer and worship, and participate in creative games and activities that teach the difference between knowing about God to knowing God.
